Hello!  Welcome to Home on the Waterfront!

We hope that your visit here is just like stepping into our home.  In our case, our “home on the waterfront” belongs to Karen’s parents, who have owned a place on Christie Lake, Michigan for over thirty years.  Norman and Marian Griffard did not set out to buy a second home.  They were visiting their neighbor’s home on Christie Lake for the day.  As they rode around the lake, they spotted a “For Sale” sign sitting in front of a green cottage.  Right next to it was a smaller guest cottage.

Karen’s brother wrote a small check as a down payment and the next day, he told her Dad what he had done.  Norman and Marian ended up buying the two cottages on the lake and began their journey of learning a whole new lifestyle–a lifestyle that included new friends, long summer days and many barbeques.
